Our client is the family-owned company. For over 60 years has been the manufacturing specialist for precision parts and assemblies in large and medium series for the automotive industry. Headquartered in DACH region and with locations in Europe, Asia, the USA and Africa, the group employs more than 4000 people worldwide.

As part of a very discreet succession search, a Plant Financial Director / Kaufmännischer Leiter for the plant in Poland with more than 2000 employees shall be hired as soon as possible, who will successively assume operational and strategic responsibility for all commercial areas and be involved in all essential planning and decision-making processes regarding the plant’s alignment.

Responsibility:

TARGET:

  • Trusting cooperation with the technical plant manager and the group management
  • Professional support for all company managers in all commercial matters

 

TASKS:

  • Responsible for finance and accounting, HR, IT, QA/QM, and logistics
  • Motivating leadership, coaching, qualification, training, and further development of subordinate employees
  • Responsibility for preparing the annual business plan, business analyses, statistics, and evaluations as well as investment and liquidity planning
  • Carrying out target/actual deviation analyses during the year, including initiating the necessary control measures
  • Monitoring all cost parameters, determining cost reduction potential, and initiating the resulting measures
  • Optimization and digitalization of structures and processes along the entire value chain together with the responsible heads of department
  • Further expansion and updating of monitoring and control systems and key figures
  • Structuring sustainable quality and efficiency initiatives
  • Representing the company and managing relationships with regional and, where applicable, national governments, ministries, and authorities
  • Working closely with and conducting negotiations with external partners and partners such as tax consultants, auditors, tax authorities, banks and authorities in consultation with the group managing directors and shareholders
  • Handling special commercial issues such as inventory valuations, subsidy programs, annual financial statements and audits, special issues relating to foreign countries (currencies, customs, tax)
  • Improving internal training

Your profile:

  • Business fluent in Polish and fluent in German
  • Many years of experience in the commercial sector in an international automotive company
  • Several years of management experience
    Experience in change processes
  • Ideally experience in an auditing company or legal background
  • Sound and broad overall commercial understanding
  • Good basic knowledge of data analysis tools and databases
  • Degree in business administration or comparable qualification
  • Situational leadership and creative power
  • Analytical and structured approach
  • Cross-divisional thinking in overall corporate contexts
  • Team player, decisive and assertive
